Judge blocks Kennedy Center board from putting Trump's name on building or grounds

WASHINGTON — A federal judge has blocked the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees from putting President Donald Trump's name on the building or grounds in any way.

The board voted in August to inscribe Trump's name on the venue’s facade to read “The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Restored and Renovated By President Donald J. Trump.”

If the Trump Kennedy Center Fund reached $100 million, another inscription would be added reading: “Endowed by the Trump Kennedy Center Fund.”

The plaza in front of the Kennedy Center would have also been renamed in Trump’s honor, as part of the board’s vote.

Judge Christopher Cooper said Tuesday that the move would violate an earlier ruling that his name was illegally added to the building.

"Simply put, Defendants cannot install memorials for President Trump or anyone or anything else at the Kennedy Center without Congress’s blessing," the judge said in Tuesday's decision.

The board later voted to close the venue over the financial woes and dispute over branding Trump's name on the property.

And? You seem to think that a lot of people really care about this when they don't.
But please, show me who's really upset over Trump not getting his name on the Kennedy Center.

While Donald Trump himself is furious with the federal judges blocking his branding plans, there is very little public evidence of widespread anger among elected Republican lawmakers or the broader conservative base over the ruling.
Instead, the pushback against the judicial blocks has primarily come from Trump’s immediate circle, his administration officials, and his appointed board members.

9_9 Ho-hum.

They ARE MAGA republicans. You're the one inserting "at large" you lying pos.
LOL! So when you say, "Suck it up you MAGA maggots..," you're ONLY talking to "Trump’s immediate circle, his administration officials, and his appointed board members."

Nope..And the 25% of MAGA Americans who support Trump's name staying on the bldg:

"The Economist/YouGov survey found that 54% of Americans support stripping Donald Trump's name from the Kennedy Center. Only a quarter of respondents want the name to stay."
