I'm embedding the more recent cover of the two; also because Nareth hasn't appeared here before, whereas Stotzem has.

The percussive forearm "thump" in the vid below (simulating a drum beat) is not necessarily "deeper" than usual, as much just the result of purely whacking that part of the soundboard (lack of contrast). Compare to the Sean Hall performance in next post where he also taps tighter parts of the soundboard with higher register.

Singin' in the Rain
Gene Kelly's cover is here (1952):

Hermosín first reviews the history of the song, the movie, tap dancing, etc. The actual performance begins at circa the 2:50 mark. Her singing is in English, so avoid reading the translation at that point because that's when the captions ironically become inaccurate.
Artificial harmonics used in the instrumental intro. Chet Atkins legacy.

Hill Country & Delta Blues Styles
00:00 - Mississippi Hill Country Blues ... TUNING: D-G-C-F-A-D (whole step down; configurations still same as standard tuning)
06:03 - Mississippi Delta Blues ... TUNING: D-G-D-G-B-D (open-G)
INTRO: "
Most Blues fans have heard of Delta Blues, which originated in the fields of the Delta, along the length of the Mississippi River, but the Northern Hill Country region is home to the rhythmic, trance-like groove of Hill Country Blues. Kick back and take a trip with me through both."
