EXCERPT: Julia Beck, a lesbian activist kicked off a Baltimore LGBTQ Commission for using the “wrong” pronoun to refer to an alleged male rapist who considers himself a female, defended “biological reality” while lamenting the fact that, in today’s environment, men can easily “gain access to single-sex spaces” simply by calling themselves female.

[...] "Well, when we get down to it, women and girls all share a biological reality,” said Beck. “We are all female. But if any man, if any male person can call himself a woman, or be legally identified as female, then predatory men will do so in order to gain access to women’s single-sex spaces, and it puts every woman and girl at risk.”

“In many states, men can legally identify themselves as female and gain access to women’s single-sex spaces, and sports is just one institution where men are taking titles, scholarships, and this is a problem,” she added.

Twitter Bans Feminist Writer Who Said ‘Men Are Not Women,’ So Now Twitter’s Getting Sued

In a widely reported interview last week, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey declared that his company could no longer "afford to take a neutral stance anymore" when it comes to hot button social and political issues. Pressed on why his site seems to laser focus on conservatives while largely ignoring voices on the Left — like radical racist and anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan — Dorsey cited the case of Canadian progressive feminist Megan Murphy, whom his company recently banned after a series of tweets arguing that transwomen are not women.

Then Twitter is a publisher, liable for any libel, scams, or fraud on their platform.

Because no one on the left will listen and Republicans don't actually hate LGBT.

But I guess you'd prefer that she just be completely ostracized for trying to protect women's spaces. Rolleyes

So-called TERFs don't color within all the lines of the Socially Conscious Church rulebook, so they can be driven to take coverage wherever they can get it.

Julia Beck is or was a reporter contributing to Women's Liberation Radio News. This incident was also mentioned here on Feminist Current. (WLRN: "Julia Beck is a lesbian radical feminist ... She advocates for women-only spaces and enjoys compassionate dialogue. Julia is proud to serve her community as an active reporter for WLRN."

Feminists of radical context or a potentially revised 2nd-wave feminism ancestral spirit -- or critics of the legacy of 3rd-wave feminism -- can derogatorily be called TERFs when they encroach upon or perturb this particular ideological territory.

Even though their media publications like Feminist Current take pokes at conservative outlets like Fox News (example), its founder Meghan Murphy (and similar radical feminists) can occasionally get unrequested neutral or arguably even positive coverage by the Spectator, Fox News, and so forth when they're attacked by the lingering influences of 3rd-wave feminism or postmodernism in general. Similar (but in a different ballpark) to New Atheist Sam Harris infrequently receiving such attention or references because of his criticism of Islam and adoption of the regressive left coinage. (These are "strange bedfellows" situations, IOW.)

Meghan Murphy: Last week, a 60-year-old woman was beaten up at Speaker’s Corner by several men. She was there with a group of women, who had chosen the historic corner of Hyde Park as a meeting place, before heading off to a talk called, “What is Gender.” [...] The protestors [...] labelled the women “TERFs” (trans exclusionary radical feminists) — a word that has come to signify a modern witch: to be silenced, threatened, harassed, punched, and — yes — killed.

The idea that feminists who question the notion of “gender identity” should be beaten and murdered has very rapidly become accepted by self-described leftists. We’re not just talking about Twitter eggs, here. Men with large platforms who are publicly associated with Antifa and groups like the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) have amplified the “punch TERFs” and “TERFs get the guillotine” message proudly, with the support of their comrades. In reference to The Handmaid’s Tale, many have taken to saying “TERFs get the wall.”
--‘TERF’ isn’t just a slur, it’s hate speech ... Feminist Current

insular ego manifest isolation of the self in a direction from the self.
pervades the input from a range to be a polar desire.

i have seen this in varying degrees inside and outside closed circles.

i suspect there is developmental association which triggers a pre programmed response to set a narrative in play.

i dont mess around in such things. i only observe.

there is some attachment to the creative mind also.
i suspect the subconscious AND conscious recognize this being displayed and sets up a pre conditioned set of devaluation cycles which tend to cascade.

i have attempted to disrupt the cascade several times in various different types of individuals.
however it mostly is only ever a negative gain. like a coiled spring it must un ravel before it can gain control of its self again.

some work needed on re-definitin of the self identity as a formative process of self actualization required.
unfortunately... most are surrounded by behavioral absolute valuers.
cyclic self reassurance is also included to solidify the mode of sequential actuation.

better to destroy the world, than miss the opportunity to do nothing
i am fairly sure that is a biological aspect
note scope of appreciation of variance seems whimsical yet not attained as an intrinsic moral value of freedom of choice....i digress

Amazing how it's people like myself who are supposed to be "anti-science" and "science deniers", while those hurling those insults blithely ignore and even flat-out deny all the sexual biology stuff that defines male and female not only among humans, but among most living organisms. (X and Y chromosomes in our human case, reproductive anatomy and physiology, and all the rest.)

It's also interesting how all of these issues have become so moralized. With most disputes, if somebody disagrees, at worst they are simply wrong (assuming of course that we are right). But in this case and others like it, to disagree isn't just just supposed to be wrong, it's judged to be profoundly evil as well.

When you don't have facts/science on your side, you have to attempt to poison the well to keep the young/uninformed from even listening. If you convince people the truth is evil, you never even need to try to refute it.

Now, there are extremely rare borderline cases. The left tries to use them to support their anti-science views and as a cudgel against the "compassion" (again, a moral failing) of the right.

But I don't know of anyone who claims there is no gender ambiguity in those actually born intersex. But that doesn't mean that gender is fluid outside of biological intersex traits.

An ideological cult that's apparently a stage in the incremental process to postgenderism (itself a subcategory of transhumanism). Also ironically tied-in decades earlier to radical feminism, though hardly of the flavor that Meghan Murphy endorses. Since TERFs are a primary target of these mobile-device organized hit groups.

A para-religion that just needs an eschatological end-times (grounded in transhumanist futurology rather than traditional prophecy). Where the resisting, "evil" proponents of binary gender or biological conformism will finally receive their just punishment or annihilation, if not already having gradually faded away in the past.

Shulamith Firestone: "[The] end goal of feminist revolution must be, unlike that of the first feminist movement, not just the elimination of male privilege but of the sex distinction itself: genital differences between human beings would no longer matter culturally. (A reversion to an unobstructed pansexuality Freud's 'polymorphous perversity'—would probably supersede hetero/homo/bi-sexuality.) The reproduction of the species by one sex for the benefit of both would be replaced by (at least the option of) artificial reproduction: children would born to both sexes equally, or independently of. either, however one chooses to look at it; the dependence of the child on the mother (and vice versa) would give way to a greatly shortened dependence on a small group of others in general, and any remaining inferiority to adults in physical strength would be compensated for culturally."

The difficulty in taking these things seriously, is that it seems many women wish to pick and choose how to celebrate diversity, and gender fluidity. If it doesn't suit their personal agenda, then I guess they're against it. If it somehow empowers men, they're against it. If it doesn't hoist women to new heights, soaring above men, then they're against it.

I'm not afraid of men. Some men pose threats to women, and to society at large. But, some women do, as well. This idea that as a woman, I should view all men as potential risks, is just brainwashed bullshit from radical feminism, that I just can't accept.
