Mobile Devices and MyBB

I tried an adjustment with CSS for the size of the embedded Youtube in the mobile version, however I'm not entirely convinced it's working properly.

Btw, I apologise this wasn't all sorted before hand however development here has really been on a when needed basis Smile

I usually post to forums from a computer as I have yet to master the navigation of forums using my Samsung phone which has an Android OS. Reading things is fine but replying with the small screen is not easy nor have I managed to set the number of posts to show per page etc. so I tend to get lost.

Just logged in from my phone and set it to desktop and I do think that I would be able to post here more easily than other forum software. That means that I may actually be able to post while on my breaks at work...from the dark side, lol...

I had another look at it this morning. I like the text-based appearance, very easy to read. The videos look better, though maybe a little out of proportion. Navigation is a bit off. I checked out my thread regarding cigar box guitars, but couldn't get back to the main page. Clicked on the "index" link, but seemed to still be trapped within that thread. Possibly I didn't understand the navigation.

I've added an External link to the youtube inclusion template, so if you can't see the video's or they are the wrong size you can click the link to open the video in a new browser window. (Not quite a fix, however it does act as a work around for the irregular size and allow people that have blocked external cookies via their browser to follow the link should they want to)

This basically means when a youtube video is embedded you don't have to add an external link as well.

A further fix. Iframes is now set to use the HTML5 sandboxing method for video play. (basically an additional security feature of HTML5).

This site technically isn't fully HTML5, it is currently a hybrid which is pretty damn messy. Luckily HTML5 is forgiving compared to previous attempted strict methods of markup (XML etc) so it shouldn't be a problem to most people.

Okay an extra fix has been done (I don't know how effective it is) however it's suppose to allow the video's to scale to the device.
