You call yourself a panpsychist, but your panpsychism is quite different than than others. The problem with an ultimately non-directional Time imo comes down to reducing futurity and pastness and indeed possibility itself to illusions of our material existence. For what sense is there in saying time is an eternalist space-like continuum without some need for a vectorial relationship between events--of one event coming before another and one event coming after another? The whole of reality becomes sapped of its dynamic interrelatedness and interactivity.

We need Time to be fundamentally and irreducibly directional and transitional else change becomes an illusion and we become trapped in an abstract mathematical wonderland of timeless geometrical relationships. The whole nature of reality is this continuous unfolding of each event from others into others. And is my suspicion that this is also the intuitive essence of consciousness itself. Abstract logic and mathematics is an attempt to simulate the self-evident and necessary continuity of this deeply-felt phenomenal movement of our own subjective experience. The intellect strives to build its static maps and models of reality by standing outside of it as if it were some absolutely passive knowing of it. But the only real way to know reality is thru our real-life involvement with it. It is an experiential epistemology not a rationalist one. More like art and spirituality than like science and theorism. The vitality of the creative and poetic not the deadness of the analytical and prosaic.
