VIDEO INTRO: Today I decided to do a second part of what's going on in Europe. Right now in January we have quite a lot of news. [...] The farmers are protesting in Germany. [...] Farmers have blocked the city of Berlin, and also other cities. They're demonstrating with their tractors, it has become really big. [...] Why are the farmers so angry, why are they protesting? [...] farmers are really mad at the government in Germany, because the government wants to basically eliminate subsidies on diesel, and also on taxes.

When you purchase, for example, a tractor so in the past, the diesel was cheaper for farmers. Otherwise, they would go out of business. And also a certain tax was lowered, when you buy a tractor as a farmer. Now the government wants to get rid of those subsidies, and they want the farmers to pay the full price for diesel and also the full price for taxes on new purchases of farming vehicles. The farmers said no, so now they are protesting and they are showing the full force. They are blocking pretty much everything, and even today it's still going on...

My first though was to wonder why the left, who ostensibly want everyone to quit eating meat in order to save the planet, would want to put farmers out of business. Because farmers own trackers to grow crops, not raise cattle.

But then I remembered other goals of the left. Namely authoritarian control and depopulation. Both are served by the state gaining sole control of food production.
