Yeah, ignorant guns laws that only hinder law-abiding citizens from protecting themselves only ever increase gun sales. The criminals will steal guns and won't give a crap about magazine capacity limits or permits. So these laws are just a way for leftists to promote more reliance upon the government.

"simply...minimizing magazine rounds to 10 bullets" means when criminals do home invasions, you only have 10 chances to save you and your family. Some people, who aren't complete hermits, care about their families enough to be prepared for the worst.

While other gun permitting laws have faced legal challenges, courts have uniformly rejected them and found the laws constitutional. Multiple federal circuit courts also have upheld similar bans on large-capacity magazines, yet the nation’s high court recently directed the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to revisit its finding upholding a ban in California.

But at least MR will never be allowed a gun buying permit under this new law, as a permit can be denied based on "mental or psychological state."

the basic need of americans to carry guns shows their society is unsafe & filled to the brim with bad parenting and reprehensible standards of social normality.
what it normalises is the mental reality of focusing & thinking about killing people 24/7.

which breeds psychopaths with guns

it is psychologically very bad for a person to be constantly thinking about killing people.

carrying a gun to shoot people focuses the mind of the person on to constantly thinking about killing people and it normalises all the mental health problems that develop from that.

it fundamentally changes morals and ethics

why do people want to push society to have more people focusing 24/7 on killing strangers with guns ?
it is counter productive toward a peaceful society.

it smacks of an obsession over the power of life and death
and then look at the anti abortion laws.
total hypocrisy

^^More ignorance from someone who obviously doesn't even know anyone who carries, maybe even owns, a gun. If he did, he'd know that doing so means you don't have to think about your safety, much less killing anyone. You don't have to ponder "what if" something bad happens since you already have that handled. The only reason most people carry is because there are so many criminals caused by "bad parenting and reprehensible standards of social normality." It's only criminals who may be "constantly thinking about killing people."

This again illustrates the irrational fear of people who simply take responsibility for theirs and their family's safety. That you believe that all these law-abiding citizens are constantly thinking about killing is ridiculous and paranoid.

And how many times do people have to be reminded that a baby is innocent and a criminal is not? How hard is it to make that very simple distinction? A criminal is killed because they threatened another. Babies are killed largely for convenience, and there's not even a proposed law that would ban an abortion if the mother's life is threatened. There's the real hypocrisy. People who want to kill babies that don't even threaten the mother's life but don't want to allow anyone to kill a criminal that is threatening lives.

That smacks of a perversely inverted morality that treats violent adults as undeserving of death and innocent babies as eminently deserving to die. No only do you seem incapable of considering that simple fact, you have the gall to get self-righteous about your obvious immorality. Well, with the rainbow flag, pride about your immorality is to be expected. Why wouldn't that leech into every other aspect of your belief system?

Yep, I think RD shouldn’t be talking guns. As an evolutionist he would know of several species that evolved weaponry to protect self, property and territory. From fangs to claws to the skull cracking club owned by the Mantis Shrimp, it’s nothing new. We aren’t equipped physically but still have the means. Must we constantly be reminded that like any other creature that has ever existed, the human being is a life form trying to survive. Can’t ignore it and pretend we aren’t just another life form. IMO

I don’t know how other animals think but when the kill button is pushed it’s game on. Do or die.

Yeah, no one but the self-destructive can ignore the simple biological mandate to survive. When it comes down to it, survival rules all. Like the fight or flight response, some people are just more adapted to fight and other more adapted to flee. Like Mark Twain's Letters from the Earth, we do not deem a rabbit a coward for following it's nature to run, no more than we deem a tiger a murder for it's nature to hunt. These are simply survival instincts.
