I think that it's running updated forum software. The changeover seems to be going very well.

SF experiencing another outage? With respect to anybody left who is not banned there or still bothers to visit occasionally.

Yea, I noticed that. Different message showing today when you go to their site; looks like maybe their domain license expired? Hmm...

I hope that they do whatever is required to reactivate it. I haven't posted there much recently, but after spending years there, it's sad to see it die.

And I'm surprised since they recently put some effort into upgrading their software, which suggests that they weren't thinking of pulling the plug on it.

What's crazy is that I can access it when I use a certain VPN. I even posted there earlier this morning via that, during the outage.

No other member is showing there as signed in. But there are almost 500 guests who are probably bots, who somehow likewise have the capacity to still visit the forum.

EDIT: One member named "el es" did get in earlier and posted. And now exchemist is showing as online. So it's not a total outage everywhere. Or they are using an app like me.

Just pm'd exchemist on another forum out of curiosity.Would the inconsistency  be down to different servers perhaps?

Maybe. Only one VPN out of three that I've tried gets through (Windscribe), and that includes the built-in proxy of Opera browser.

EDIT: Now I see Dave alone logged in, even though SF still seems unreachable without help. Odd how at least three others (if not more members) are somehow are able to access it, but no activity ensuing (yet).

Looks like my alien buddies came thru and shut them down after they saw they had banned me. It was only a matter of time. They probably abducted Dave and James as well. Smile
