A truly no BS and *comprehensive* survey of what really matters. But the scene is constantly evolving. One looming supposed 'game changer' is development of Sodium batteries that would end worries about in particular future Lithium scarcity. Another is promised future deployment of Iron Nitride based PMs that would free dependence on 'neo' magnet rare earth elements like Neodymium.
Both 'breakthroughs' when and if realized would tilt the field in favor of EVs. Irrespective of Greenie pressures to phase out 'polluting, fossil fuel dependent' ICEs.
Just notionally pure 'free enterprise' (actually Globalist undermined relentlessly - but that's another story) market pressures at work.
Could there though be an unanticipated third option blowing both ICE & EV out of the water?
Well actually imo yes - but don't bother asking because I aint going into any details. And you will all likely put that claim down to crank BS anyway.
I've had a back-handed poster hint of that already over at SF. Which likely was in response to my post in an unrelated thread here. Fine.
