VIDEO EXCERPTS: The first news that I want to read to you is this one from the CEO of Dräger. And Dräger is a German company that makes medical and safety devices like this gas mask.

The CEO of the company sharply criticizes the current government. Many people assume that prosperity is created by the state and not by companies. He is concerned that both elected officials and the general public are losing sight of the origins of our prosperity. Prosperity arises solely from entrepreneurial activity.

According to Dräger, the current government is setting the wrong incentives, but he's even more worried about the European Union than about the federal government. The EU methane regulation stipulates that from 2027 onwards, importers of soil, natural gas, and coal must comply with strict documentation requirements.

Among other things, importers are required to document how much methane is emitted during the extraction, processing, and transport of crude oil and natural gas. Failure to comply with these documentation standards can result in exorbitant fines.

So this is one thing that the Germans are dealing with. They're dealing with more and more bureaucracy, and this makes a lot of companies leave the country also. Now in Germany they are thinking about stopping the decommissioning of some nuclear power plants and activating them again. But actually this is not really economically feasible.

[...] Also very concerning to me is this article here. They're writing about the Ukraine war in a German newspaper. Since the outbreak of the war, Ukraine has undergone a breathtaking transformation. The country has long since become an influential security factor for Europe. I have to say I strongly disagree with this article. I think that the war has just brought death and destruction to the country.

There's a lot of pro-war propaganda going on right now in Germany. Also, there's a new law that young men from 17 to 45 have to seek special permission if they want to leave the country for longer than three months. So a lot of signs are pointing to the possibility that Germany might prepare for a war, and that's very concerning.

[...] The Iran war is putting a strain on Germany; material shortages are increasing rapidly. Also now Belgium is reacting, and it's halting the dismantling of nuclear power plants. Apparently, they also wanted to get rid of nuclear power, but now they are making a turnaround...

VIDEO EXCERPTS: Today I want to read to you an article which is called "Germany's Economy at the Point of No Return". If anyone still needed a concrete figure to illustrate the dramatic state of the German economy, the Federal Statistical Office has now delivered it. The country's investment ratio is negative as depreciation exceeds nominal investments. Slowly but surely, the lights are going out in Germany.

Germany's economy is [...] consuming its own substance just to stay afloat. Private sector engagement is being crowded out by the NGO complex. Green subsidy entrepreneurs and all the incentive hunters who offer no real products or services on the market, but are very adept at exploiting public funding.

Meanwhile, the real economy, the free private sector, is packing its bags. The widespread investment restraint of private industry spans at all sectors. Whether it's mechanical engineering, automotive, or chemicals, companies are retreating and increasingly investing abroad. In 2024, over 60 billion euros in net direct investment was withdrawn from Germany.

The data point released by the Federal Statistical Office is more than alarming. It proves that the situation has long passed the point of no return. The figures show that depreciation exceeded net investments. In other words, depreciation outstripped the renewal of the capital stock. Germany's infrastructure, building stock, and industrial capital are eroding over time and are not being maintained.

It is clear that an economy unable to renew its capital stock in a market conform competitive way is falling behind. People are becoming impoverished and society risks severe social upheavals. This is what we are seeing in Germany but also in other European countries. People cannot afford to go to restaurants anymore or to the cinema. They're saving and avoiding luxury products. they don't purchase them anymore. So, the purchasing power is lagging behind.

It's very baffling. And there's evidence that there's a deep-seated cognitive dissonance not to recognize the collapse of the German industry and to see what it is, namely the dismantling of our prosperity. Since 2018, Germany's industrial sector has lost about 15th of its production volume.

That's crazy.

This is not a normal recession. [...] The self-inflicted energy crisis, which now accelerates in public awareness through this trade of moose, has caused a shock. Yet it has evidently not been enough to produce political course corrections at the ballot box. The German statism has deeply embedded itself into the collective consciousness through the state education system, state alliance media and the constant barrier of green socialist NGOs.

This naive faith in the state is a deeply rooted meta-political anchor that cannot be easily uprooted. In the Federal Republic of Germany, there's a real risk that society in the coming years of crisis will increasingly follow socialist charlatans. They present a painless therapy of simple wealth redistribution as a solution.

Free media and truly independent academia are now called upon to counter the return to complete socialist barbarism which is becoming increasingly evident. Only a few media outlets are standing up against this decay.

Once the continent's second industrial engine, Germany has spent the last decade dismantling the foundations of its prosperity through energy and immigration policies driven more by ideology than evidence or good sense. The results have been rising costs, falling competitiveness, social disorder, and political backlash. Energy has played a leading role in Germany's decline. Reliable, affordable power is the lifeblood of any advanced economy...

EXCERPTS: I would like to discuss something that is very concerning to me. So it seems as if a lot of oil facilities, maybe ports or pipelines, are getting attacked and sabotaged around the world and are burning. So in this video you can see 10 tankers that are on fire at the coast of Myanmar.

Furthermore, we got another oil port in Russia, which is burning. Then we got suspected sabotage in the US. In this video, you can see a massive fire at the Texas refinery, which was not an accident, but it seems to be a deliberate attack of sabotage agents linked to Iran. [...] Then also in Victoria, Australia, another refinery was burning... Just two weeks ago an Italian pipeline got sabotaged. ... Explosions at a Mexican refinery. The list goes on...

I don't know who is behind those attacks, but the fact is that this is going to cause huge problems for all of us citizens of the world. No matter where you live, we are going to get punished for this and we are going to suffer.

[...] Here, for example, you can see that the German airports have already cancelled 20,000 flights. So the question is, can you go on holiday in Europe?

[...] The German government is preparing for a possible worsening of the energy crisis. The aim is to guarantee security of supply for businesses and citizens. But of course, the rising kerosene prices are of particular concern. Also, the same thing is happening in Australia, where they are saying that flight cancellations in Australia cannot be ruled out.

[...] More articles criticizing the green energy transition. Here they are saying de-industrialization. Let's be honest: the energy transition is over. It's time for a stark assessment. Germany's go-it-alone approach to CO2 reduction has failed. This policy is destroying the country's industrial base...

VIDEO INTRO: Migrants are pretending to be gay to get into Britain. Didn't Colin Farrell do the same thing to get into Hollywood?

A BBC investigation this week revealed that asylum lawyers are coaching migrants on how to pretend to be gay so that the Home Office rubber-stamps their asylum claims.

Ironically, a lot of these migrants are from deeply homophobic cultures where gay people are not just discriminated against in law, but killed by being thrown off buildings or having a wall pushed on top of them. We've seen this culture express itself in attacks on gay people, such as the stabbing rampage in Reading in 2020, when three gay men were stabbed to death in Forbury Gardens by knifeman Khairi Saadallah.

And many of the migrants who come to Britain want to set up an Islamic caliphate here, which would explicitly criminalise homosexuals.

So, by allowing these migrants to pretend to be gay to exploit our asylum system, the Home Office is putting actual gay migrants - and gay Brits - at risk.

Our asylum rules were set up in 1951 for a completely different world. They're easy to game and damaging to Britain. They need to be replaced with a new system where anyone saying they're gay has to run a gauntlet of the biggest gayest penises in Britain before they're allowed to stay...

VIDEO EXCERPTS: Today I want to bring you the news from Europe again. And first I would like to start with the elections in Hungary. Now after 16 years in government, the prime minister Victor Orban got defeated by a new candidate who is called Péter Magya and who was the victorious opposition leader and Magya exclaimed after the victory that he has liberated Hungary. And also Magya got 2/3 majority votes uh which will make it very easy for him to change things how the country is running. And after the victory was published in the news the EU commission president has said that Hungary has chosen Europe.

So now all of these pro- European Union politicians were celebrating. So yeah, that's what's going on in Hungary. So now the big question is will the Friendship Pipeline which goes from Ukraine to Hungary be repaired? Supposedly it's been damaged by Russian attacks. But there are some critics who say it wasn't really damaged. It was just turned off for political purposes. So very soon we will find out if there will be oil coming through this pipeline again.

Also, we got some news from Italy where another pipeline got sabotaged. Here you can see a power pylon which is leaning towards the site and apparently it was knocked down deliberately. So they are saying in Italian television that this attack was professionally organized and this power pylon was supplying the Transalpine Pipeline with electricity. Images of the attack on the power supply to the Transalpine Pipeline, which supplies southern Germany with crude oil leave no doubt.

[...] There's a German YouTuber. He's a comedian. [...] He has made a video about why he is leaving Germany. And in this video, he describes how everybody who is working is getting ripped off with taxes. And he also complained that if you do nothing, you can make a really good living from the state with social welfare. And he just doesn't want to have this anymore. So he's leaving the country and from now on he will pay his taxes somewhere else. So it's a really good video. ... His name is Radical Living. The new dystopian bill, pushed by Construction Minister Verena Hubertz of the far-left Social Democrats (SPD), could mean those who hold the wrong political views are blocked from real estate purchases.
Under the proposal, first reported by Nius news outlet, local authorities would gain a right of first refusal over real estate transactions if authorities believe the person is suspected of vaguely defined “anti-constitutional” views.
EXCERPTS: “We learn from history that we learn no history,” said my eighth-grade history teacher back in the early 1960s. Sure enough, now Israel has done it again, this time with the unwelcome addition of unrealistic expectations and unfounded braggadocio.

Israel and the United States have been pounding Iran from the air for more than a month, but Iranian missiles kept falling on Israeli population centers until a ceasefire took effect—leaving thousands of Iranian missiles in place... [...] Undeterred, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu keeps insisting that the Israeli military is the best in the world, while implying that Iran’s regime was significantly weakened (but not overthrown).

A realistic assessment would add “for its size” to the “best in the world” description of the Israeli military. In fact, the long war in Gaza has stretched the Israeli army to the breaking point—even its military chief of staff has said the current situation raises “10 red flags” about the army nearing collapse under the weight of repeated reserve call-ups and refusal of the government to force ultra-Orthodox Jews to serve.

Here are the facts: Israel’s “best army in the world” has fought to a standstill in Gaza, facing a well-armed but relatively small force of Hamas terrorists. Likewise, in Lebanon, despite weeks of heavy bombing as well as occupation of a strip of territory across the Israeli border, the Israeli military admits it can’t disarm the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon without a full-scale ground invasion...

[...] So, an army that can’t sweep away terrorists in either Gaza or Lebanon is going to vanquish Iran, forcing regime change in a country with nine times Israel’s population and eight times its land mass? Well, no—despite the exaggerated claims and outlandish predictions from Jerusalem and Washington... [...] So here's my question on this war crime issue, Melissa. The President's not going to be arrested by anybody, but is it unwise -- whether you think it's a matter of morality or hearts and minds or the law -- is it unwise for the President to hit civilian targets?

[...] Yes, I think it's unwise for the President to hit civilian targets.

[...] Okay. Hogan, do you think it's wise or unwise?

Well, first of all, they've said the whole thing has been unconstitutional, illegal from the outset. So, this is nothing new. [...] The Iranian regime and terrorists like to put military installations or operations beneath civilian targets. So if it's explained why that is done, if it's proven that there's something underneath it, then I think he's okay.

[...] What if the US and Israel start to hit civilian targets, maybe you can call them dual use -- they start to hit energy targets and the bombing becomes, as the President's post suggests, even more massive than what we've already seen. And we've seen some pretty massive hits so far.

And let's say the Iranians do hit back and start hitting hospitals and energy plants and schools, whatever they hit -- then what happens? If the escalation of targets happens, then what happens? Does that just keep going?

[...] There are going to be American weapons that have never been used before that are conventional, like in Venezuela, that are quite powerful. So Melissa, what happens at that point? Can there then be peace in the short term or once the lid is off of this, they're just going to destroy everything?

I think once the lid is off of this, we risk destroying everything. I think you're going to start seeing them firing into the neighboring countries in the Gulf, and then they're going to return fire. And Iran's regime, you know, the whole purpose right now is survival, and they see survival as defiance. And I think that they're going to continue to ratchet it up until they can't anymore.

[...] But there's no doubt there would be some type of retaliation. They've been firing off rockets all over the place. Even though we were told their capability had been diminished. The point is they still fire them off...

EXCERPTS: President Donald Trump this week told countries struggling to get jet fuel due to Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz to buy from the U.S., but analysts say there is ‌a major problem with his advice: the U.S. can't cover the global shortfall.

"We have plenty," Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Tuesday. U.S. government data shows that's not the case.

About half a million barrels a day of jet fuel is exported out of the Strait of Hormuz, mainly to Europe and some to Asia and Africa, data from vessel-tracking service Kpler shows.

[...] The United States is the top consumer of jet fuel globally, and most of the jet fuel the country produces is consumed domestically, EIA data shows. Last week, refiners and fuel blenders produced 1.97 million bpd of jet fuel, which was just slightly above demand of 1.79 million bpd, EIA reported.

"Even if the U.S. had plenty of jet fuel, it has plenty of airlines too," Smith said. Moreover, most U.S. jet fuel production is concentrated in the U.S. Gulf Coast, and major demand centers along the country's East Coast and West Coast have historically relied on imports to cover their needs.

The West Coast in particular is going to need more supply of the fuel from the U.S. Gulf Coast as many of its typical suppliers in Asia are among those hit hardest by the Strait ‌of Hormuz closure. Asian refiners have had to cut production and ban exports, leaving California in search of alternate suppliers.

To be sure, the U.S. is exporting more of all fuels, including jet fuel, to global markets as it is the one major fuel producer not directly impacted by the war. Jet fuel prices have surged in the United States since the Iran war began, but to a lesser extent than other markets directly hit by the Strait of Hormuz blockade... SURVIVAL LILLY
https://youtu.be/pRSQOzdutCU

VIDEO EXCERPTS: I'm reporting here from uh Austria again. So, right now the diesel price is at €21 per liter. It's pretty expensive. I think if you convert it to gallons, that's around $10 US or something. So, it's about double the price in Europe than it is in the US. So, it's really crazy.

There's another news story that I want to tell you which I read yesterday in the news. One company was hiring new employees and some people wanted to start to work in this company, but then because the fuel prices are so high people said that they don't want to come anymore. Because it's too expensive to commute to the working place.

So then they called employer and said they won't come to work, instead they will stay in unemployment because it's more profitable to stay unemployed. So now the company owner was super furious that he won't get any workers because of the higher fuel prices.

[...] More and more people are venting their frustrations on social media. It's no longer worth working. So, they quit and live off the state. For a lot of people, the commute to work simply isn't worth it anymore.

[...] Germany wants to build nuclear reactors again, but this time they want to build smaller reactors. So not just one big one but a lot of small ones. That's the plan. The problem is we are now in a climate crisis and until you complete building those nuclear power plants it will take 5 to 15 years.

They were discussing the pros and cons of nuclear power plants and in one talk show a Green Party politician was saying that nuclear power plants are wonderful targets for attack. So the Greens do not want to build nuclear power plants because they are saying it could be attacked by a rocket or something. Yeah. But then you cannot have anything anymore, right? So this is the argument that the Greens are now bringing in Germany which is against nuclear power plants.

[...] Now in the south of Germany, they want to build 2,000 wind turbines. The problem is that in this region, there's not a lot of wind. So those wind turbines, they will not make a lot of profit. But still the government wants to give out subsidies to companies who are building them. And of course um this money is paid for by the German taxpayer.

Also, here they are saying that German's economy is at the point of no return. If anyone still needed a concrete figure to illustrate the dramatic state of the German economy, the Federal Statistical Office has now delivered it. The country's investment ratio is negative as depreciation exceeds nominal investments.

Slowly but truly, the lights are going out. Private sector engagement is being crowded out by the NGO complex, green subsidy entrepreneurs, and all the incentive hunters who offer no real products or service on the market, but are very adept at exploiting public funding.

Meanwhile, the real economy, the free private sector, is packing its bags. Whether it's mechanical, engineering, automotive, or chemical, companies are retreating and increasingly investing abroad. In 2024, over 60 billion in net direct investment was withdrawn from Germany.

Germany's infrastructure, building stock and industrial capital are eroding over time and are not being maintained. It is clear that an economy unable to renew its capital stock in a market form. Competitive way is falling behind. People are impoverished and society risks severe social upheavals.

It is baffling and evidence of deep-seated cognitive dissonance, not to recognize the collapse of the German industry for what it is, the dismantling of our prosperity. Our prosperity and wealth is being dismantled...

EXCERPT: It's now official that Starfleet Academy is being shut down and there will not be a third season of the show. Season 2 recently wrapped filming, but the hopes of more episodes beyond that were dashed by today's (March 23) announcement.

[...] Unfortunately, Starfleet Academy didn't perform strongly in the ratings. The show never cracked the Nielson Top 10, although it did fare well in the United States through Amazon channels of all things.

With season 2 of SFA already done filming, and featuring a cliffhanger, I hope showrunners Kurtzman and Landau pull a Discovery and tie up all the loose ends with reshoots now that the series is officially canceled.

I hate that season 2 will mark the end of Starfleet Academy's run, but I enjoyed the daring moves the series made.

Regardless of its cancellation, SFA will go down in history as introducing the first gay Klingon, Karem Diane's Jay-Den Kraag, and the first female Jem'Hadar, Lura Thok (Gina Yashere), which furthered Gene Roddenberry's vision of equality and representation as well as Star Trek's IDIC: Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations.

Whedon still very much cancelled by the industry, as the now axed Buffy slash Sunnydale reboot demonstrated via his absence. Marc Guggenheim and Tara Butters are the showrunners.

Will revolve around the events between the final episode of the series and the "Serenity" film. Everybody is presumably back providing their voices, except Ron Glass, who died years ago. It's unclear whether someone will speech-replace him or the show will drop the character and introduce a new one. AI could replicate his voice, but that's probably taboo.

Note that by the time period of the movie, Shepherd Book had already left Serenity. So there could be a quick departure for Book in the reboot. They're surely going to have a new preacher, though -- not even a space Western is complete without one. (Oh, I forgot, it's 2026. It will probably be an imam rather than a preacher.)

"In the comic Serenity: Those Left Behind, Book expresses concern that he is being corrupted by living on Serenity and leaves the ship.
INTRO: US President Donald Trump vowed Monday to "take" Cuba as the island's national power grid collapsed under an oil embargo imposed by Washington.

"I do believe I'll be having the honour of taking Cuba," Trump told reporters at the White House. "Whether I free it, take it — think I could do anything I want with it, you want to know the truth. They're a very weakened nation right now."

Cuba's national electricity grid suffered a complete shutdown on Monday, leaving the island of 10 million people without power, according to state-owned grid operator Union Nacional Electrica de Cuba. The company said no faults were detected in operating electrical units and work had begun to restore power.

Cuba has received no oil shipments since 9 January after the US ousted Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro and imposed an effective blockade on fuel deliveries. Trump signed an executive order in January threatening tariffs against any country that sells or provides oil to Cuba.

The island's ageing electricity system already suffered daily outages of up to 20 hours in some areas. The fuel shortage has forced airlines to curtail flights, damaging the tourism sector, while the government has rationed petrol sales and some hospital services.

Trump said Sunday Cuba "wants to make a deal", which could come quickly after his administration finishes the war against Iran. "I think we will pretty soon either make a deal or do whatever we have to do," he said aboard Air Force One.

The New York Times reported Monday, citing anonymous sources, that Trump administration officials have signalled to Cuban officials they want President Miguel Díaz-Canel removed from power. Cuba's Deputy Prime Minister Oscar Perez-Oliva announced Monday that Cuban exiles would now be able to invest in and own businesses on the island.

"Cuba is open to having a fluid commercial relationship with US companies" and "also with Cubans residing in the United States and their descendants," Perez-Oliva told NBC News... VIDEO EXCERPTS: Russia is diverting liquefied natural gas from Europe to Asia. So now we will get even less LNG gas from Russia. Russia is increasing pressure on Europe in light of rising gas prices due to the war with Iran. [...] The war in the Middle East is putting massive pressure on global energy markets. On Monday morning, the price of oil temporarily surged by 30%.

Also, Zelenskyy has threatened Viktor Orbán with Ukrainian soldiers. The dispute over an EU loan and a damaged oil pipeline is escalating. Zelenskyy sends a stark warning to Hungarian Prime Minister Orban. Budapest reacts.

The backstory to this was that the Friendship Pipeline got damaged, and Slovakia and Hungary depend highly on this pipeline because most of the oil comes from this pipeline. Also, Hungary believes that the pipeline is actually not damaged, but the oil supply is held for political reasons, and therefore Hungary has the plan to use their veto to block a 90 billion loan to Ukraine. After this, Zelenskyy threatened the Hungarian prime minister.

[...] Then also, some Europeans were stuck in other countries -- Asian countries. They could not get back. One family from France wanted to return to Europe from Thailand. They were asked for €11,000 for the flight. So if you are stuck in such a country, which is affected directly or indirectly, it can cost you a lot of money to get home again. Many airlines are currently avoiding stopovers in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. So that's why you always want to have some extra money in case you have to stay an extra month in a foreign country.

[...] The escalation in the Middle East is causing oil prices to rise sharply with unforeseeable consequences for the global economy. Germany could once again be among the biggest losers. Europeans prepare a naval mission. Tankers are to be escorted through the Strait of Hormuz. That's the plan of French President Macron.

Also, now politicians admit that maybe shutting off so many nuclear power plants was not the best idea. [...] So now at the nuclear energy summit in France, the EU has announced that they will provide risk guarantees for private investors in new nuclear technologies. And of course this will be financed by the taxpayers money, right? The funds for this will come from our emission taxation system. So you pay now with your CO2 tax that nuclear power will be reinvented and rebuilt in Germany. Yeah...
