Surf... in Chicago?? - Yazata - Jan 12, 2020 One place that I don't associate with dangerous surf and big waves is Chicago. But a storm has whipped up Lake Michigan and produced some fairly impressive action that's forced them to close some of the lakeshore streets. The Great Lakes are all dangerous, but Lake Michigan is the deadliest for one big reason.
