You know. Something goes terribly wrong whenever I've made sausage and peppers. I think it's the brand of sausage, or type? I like sweet sausage but I can't seem to find any, they're all ''mild'' or ''hot.'' Mild isn't the same as sweet, I've learned the hard way.

Check the hamburger meat section of your grocery store. Sometimes they have sweet sausage there.
