Owl for me also. However I don’t put much stock in these things considering the billions of animals that have come and gone or exist today. I think my spirit animal may be prehistoric Wink

Birds of a feather flock together. Pattern of monotony developing here in terms of the same animal spirit.

Yeah... my sister and brother in law both got horse. I'm wondering now just how many options there are in this quiz.

In my lifetime I’ve only seen two owls in the wild. I would imagine that’s because they’re nocturnal? One was a Snowy Owl that was off course along Niagara River and I saw another species in Northern Ontario, surrounded by squawking crows, and it was a big brown one. I know we have them in my geographic area but I’m supposing they come out at night to hunt. My spirit animal for all intents is invisible to those of us who sleep at night.

I was experimenting with chaos magick a few years ago. I cast a sygil spell to have an encounter with a real owl. Just unlikely enough to be seen as a sign from beyond. Nothing ever happened. I was hoping one would swoop into my balcony some night and give me a hoot. No such luck. I gave up chaos magick soon thereafter.

Mine was an owl, too.

I have one living in my backyard. One thing that I noticed is that you can’t hear them flying. A crow’s wings, you can hear from a mile away, but an owl’s wings are silent. It’s living in a hole in one of my oak trees. I was trying to string up a hammock last summer. I didn’t realize an owl was nesting in there. I was so excited. Baby owls are so cute. I tried to get a picture. Yeah, dumb move. Owls are not very nice. It scared the crap out of me. Needless to say, I didn’t get the picture. I got a few scratches when I fell from the ladder, though. Well, so much for wisdom, eh? Big Grin

"Seeing an owl repeatedly means there is a message you must heed, a warning that you must be aware of."

Yep! Don’t fuck with an owl!

Taking the dog for a walk, I somehow manage to disturb and see owls during either early or late daylight several times a year. Mostly great horned, barn, and barred owls.
The latter has a call fit for horror movies (at night), and the great horned has such a classic hoot that it's hard to resist the impulse to construe a human in the background making it.

Pretty much clinches what the totem of Scivillage is. Five in a row.
