New Dictionary of the History of Ideas, originally published in six volumes, is available for free in full text, all 3,132 pages of it, from the Internet Archive, here:

Click on the filetype you want (pdf, kindle, epub...) and it downloads. (I downloaded the pdf and its a big 40 mb file.)
This is the equivalent of an entire university education in the humanities, right there, for free.

Ah, the "New Dictionary....". I was initially getting wires crossed with an old Dictionary of the History of Ideas that's online. Big difference between the 1970s and 2005. Thanks and kudos to archive-org.
