I think Duke Blue is my favorite.. ![]() RE: 60 shades of blue - C C - Jan 2, 2018 It's gotten to where I almost identify different hues according to some rough guesstimate of what their hexidecimal codes would be. Never could remember all the common names for countless distinctions, or would be able to assign those names accurately even if I could, having to depend purely upon looking at them and my qualitative recall. - - - RE: 60 shades of blue - Magical Realist - Jan 3, 2018 Most my blue distinctions come from being raised with crayolas and their particular spectrum of colors. So when I see periwinkle for instance, I expect the kind of pastel lavender blue of that shade. Sky blue, cornflower, midnight blue, turquoise, navy blue, blue violet, and blue green are all firmly ensconced into my brain circuitry. I should go buy a pack of crayons and see what new blues they've come up with since my childhood. Here's one: ![]() |
