Kind of like food preparation's equivalent of rough sex. A mute man in adult diapers, with pancake syrup smeared over him, can always replace the vocal safe word with a hand signal to get his leather-clad partner with the whip to stop flogging him. But a punkin' is in a very challenged situation of communication all the way around.
