EXCERPT: The relationship between religion and science is the subject of continued debate in philosophy and theology. To what extent are religion and science compatible? Are religious beliefs sometimes conducive to science, or do they inevitably pose obstacles to scientific inquiry? The interdisciplinary field of “science and religion”, also called “theology and science”, aims to answer these and other questions. It studies historical and contemporary interactions between these fields, and provides philosophical analyses of how they interrelate.

Section 2 looks at the relationship between science and religion in three religious traditions, Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism. Ya know CC, my mind can't even go there. Science and religion in the same sentence just spins a dial inside my head, like a rheostatic light dimmer. When it comes to theology I just kind of go comatose. Science up against a primary belief with countless secondary beliefs of which none can be proven until the first and foremost is confirmed. That is unlikely to happen in my lifetime, with several others to follow. Religion should butt out of not only politics but science as well.
