Trump's gov inexperience and verbal recklessness is probably in character with the history of incidents / situations which prompt changes in the clock. (Not to mention deeply pushing any buttons that members of "The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists's Science and Security Board" might sport politically.)
But OTOH, his relationship with Putin might ease the tension on at least that particular, classic front. But one has to very much wonder if Putin is privately thinking that this "guy is a fool" much as Stalin covertly did after talking with Harry Truman after the Potsdam Conference. (EDIT: Well, that might depend upon whether the historical POV is from the archived Soviet side in regard to accounts from Stalin's staff and aides or from the "going by appearances" on the American side. See [*] at bottom.)
Ironic that the influence of the Cuban Missile Crisis (of all events) never got the chance to register on the clock.

with North Korea about to test an icbm and probably having the ability to put a warhead on a missile already it certainly ramps things up.
iran must be concerned that the people going into office in the usa are quite anti iran.
i am expecting the doomsday clock to go 1 minute or 30 seconds closer to midnight in the next couple of weeks
