WASHINGTON — "We already knew it was one of the hottest summers on record in the United States, but now it’s official.

New data released Wednesday from NOAA shows summer 2026 (June to August) was, on average, the hottest summer on record for the lower 48."

Meh. Dust Bowl summer average was 74.0°F and 2026 was 74.4°F, with the July peaks of 76.77°F and 76.9°F respectively.
Four tenths of a degree is soooo catastrophic. 9_9

They don't tell you how little the difference is because they expect you to lazily confirm your bias.
