Just about everybody has access to outer space. Will that make rivers, ports, etc obsolete?

Only countries with the economic and innovative power have access to space. Economic power comes from the geography advantages, and innovators come to the investors. It's hard to imagine Africa independently setting up its own space program with its economy.

Space could have made the US more vulnerable to attack... but only before the advent of nuclear weapon deterrence. So where you could potentially shift the exporting access locked to geography, it's hard to imagine anyone but terrorists being dumb enough to attack the US.
