Greek Mythology (my rise to greater intellectual status) - Ostronomos - Aug 3, 2026

Greek mythology originated from oral traditions dating back to the Minoan and Mycaenean civilizations, later preserved in epic poems and literary works. Key sources include Homer's Illiad and Odyssey, which recount the Trojan war and heroic adventures, and Hesiod's Theogony and Works and Days, which describe the creation of the world, the succession of gods and human ages. Myths were also depicted in vase paintings, sculptures and other artifacts, which reflect their cultural importance.
