To be honest I think Spains win was at odds with what that particular administration had planned. I think they wanted Argentina to win. Normally it would just be some paranoid invisible hands concern, but Trumps bungling with overturning red cards etc. That stood out.
Why would they want Argentina to win?.... well put your chainsaws down, is just down to straight forwards economics, notably the Dollar.
Luckily Spain manage to push through to win which would of undermined any metrics manipulators back at their base camp.

Probably not unusual for a team to edit out any extraneous foreign figures that are not part of the team or the country. But usually they don't have to deal with photo-bombing like that. Yep, LLM:
