Definitely need to pursue the proposed ban on crossbows, since their gun control has proved so effective over the decades at stopping the criminally adept, left-wing radicals, and the mentally ill from obtaining weapons.

EXCERPTS: Six people have been fatally shot at a centre for mothers and children by a suspect who was in a custody dispute over his baby daughter, German police say. The victims - four women and two men - were all staff members at the facility in the northern city of Stade, near Hamburg. A number of other people were also wounded.
The three-month-old baby and her mother were in the office at the time but were not harmed, officials said. Three people including the suspected gunman have been detained by police and officials said there was no further threat to the public.
The shooting appeared to have been "committed for family reasons", Lower Saxony's Interior Minister Daniela Behrens told reporters late on Monday. She called it "an act of violence carried out in an extremely cold-blooded manner, with no political or economic motives".
[...] The suspected gunman was a 45-year-old Turkish national born in Germany and living in Hanover, Lueneburg police chief Kathrin Schuol said. He had an appointment at the centre on Monday "with many of the victims" to discuss the custody of his daughter, Schuol added.
