VIDEO EXCERPT: One of the best examples I can think of regarding suicidal empathy happening in real time is a town in Michigan called Hamtramck. And I believe it was the first town in the United States that authorized the Muslim call to prayer in the morning.
The liberal people in that town wanted to protect Muslim rights. There were a whole bunch of people from Bangladesh and Armenia coming into the town. And its existing residents were very much pro-LGBTQ+.
So they welcomed tons of refugees into their small town who eventually became the majority. And then what happened is you got the first mayor who was Muslim, and then the city council became all Muslim. [Only men could attend the post-election party.]
It's an example of how you have to be careful of the unintended consequences of good intentions. Because what happened in that town this year is that they banned the pride flag.
So now you have an all-Muslim city council and mayor that have taken down all the pride flags. And the liberal women who were behind this welcome movement are now like: What's going on? And now they're being completely rebuked and shut out.
And it reminds me of communism, where the agitators and the revolutionaries are just useful idiots for the people who want to take power.

Yeah. It kind of reminds me, Dave, of those memes, you know, where it's like, I found this dog out on the street. And it's really some wolverine in the backseat of their car that they let in there. It's like, you know what's about to happen to this guy, he's going to get ripped to shreds by this thing because he's petting the animal. It's sort of like that. And the migrants came in and exploited the do-gooder system.
And in this case, it is toxic empathy, right? It is this compassion, this so-called compassion for people not like me. Like I'm a guilt-laden white person who has been called a racist for so long that I need to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that I don't judge people on their skin color.
So I'm going to embrace everything about them. Not just their melanin, but I'm going to bring in their culture and implement their rituals...

What's really rich is that the leftists did this to themselves. Everyone expects conservative parts of the country to protect their own values. But inviting the people in, who don't share your values, is supremely stupid.

How is welcoming people who move to your town inviting them there? If I welcome my neighbor who just moved in does that mean I invited him there? Do you think refugees from other countries should be banned from American cities? On what legal grounds? Because you think they're all terrorists?

City councils in conservative areas don't allow calls to prayer, rezoning for large mosques, or areas where immigrants can form isolated enclaves to avoid assimilating.
What Hamtramck did was not just welcoming, it was accommodating:

Welcome to America. It's called freedom of religion. I don't see the issue. Do you know how many animals Americans sacrifice each day for their own diet? Do you know how many churches ring bells on Sunday? I thought it was Muslim's being anti-gay that you were "complaining" about. There's other shit to hate them for now? Some would say the government making accommodations for a religion is a violation of the separation between church and state, or they're just hypocrites who only wield that argument against Christians. Church bells are not an actual prayer being forced on the community, even if not in English.
Why would I care if Muslims are anti-gay? I'm much more concerned with how they treat women, intolerance to other religions, beliefs on child brides, female genital mutilation, etc..
If you see no issue, then I guess you think they have every right to remove all the Pride flags.

Pretty sure they'll have a legal battle on their hands. The same ACLU that protects their freedom to practice their religion protects the rights of LGBT to have pride festivals. Mind boggling isn't it? So we'll see how this turns out in the courts.
