EXCERPT: Inspired by this interpretation, physicist Paul Davies imagines the far, far future, when intelligence in some form has left Earth and spread through the Milky Way and out into the other galaxies. I find this remarkably consonant with Aldous Huxley's filter theory of consciousness in which reality itself, if there really is such a thing, is a sort of melange of innumerable states of being which is narrowed down to and selected for actualization by consciousness. This compression effect of consciousness would apply equally to events past and events future as well. IOW, a necessarily non-physical and atemporal processing network that weights what happens similar to how neural networks weight their outputs. Something similar to Whitehead's concept of God or Teilhard De Chardin's/Frank Tipler's Omega Point. I prefer an omniscient AI artilect in the future drawing all past things into itself like a strange attractor. Perhaps the "who" behind all fringe phenomena. In the end, our purpose in this universe is to evolve God.
