The possibilities open to uploading consciousness are indeed remarkable if not abit creepy. Imagine having your consciousness uploaded for a few days in a chip enhanced wolf body, running with the pack under the moonlit sky in near ecstatic oneness with nature. Or think of merging your mind with a beehive colony. Or, why not just opt for the sense-enhancing chip implanted in your own brain? The smells, the sounds, the sights, the flavors, the sex!, of a supersensory mammal. Could consciousness be uploaded into anything? A tree? A car? A building? Imagine being a supercomputer for a day. Or a sex robot. Or the Internet! A whole new definition of humanity would have to be found, transcending that of our simian bodies.
