If that’s what is represented then it could have a whole other meaning. Perhaps they had a Mother Nature belief and that female character gives birth to the goose inside the egg. How would we know that isn’t the case? I know a lot of heads came together to form the goose sex interpretation but it’s just the skeptic in me. Take away the "I'm not sure about this" expression and go with the fetal posture and you get woman coming out of a goose egg. More plausible than the currently accepted 'rib' explanation IMHO. |
