Apparently, CNN has to appeal to the working class at least every once in a while. Can't pay the bills by brown-nosing marginalized population groups, rich celebrities, symbolic capitalists (virtue poseurs), and literary intellectuals 100% of the time.

I like Michael and usually catch his show every Sunday. I like his insightfulness and independence. I think that's why CNN retains him. I do agree Trump seems somehow softer in this 2nd term. I think it has to do with being lame duck. He doesn't feel the pressure of having to perform and appear a certain way so much.

Trump did have a very good week.
From the cool and efficient USAF strategic bomber hit on Iran's nuclear program with zero Americans killed or wounded, to his announcement last Monday of a ceasefire in the 12-day Israel-Iran war.
And hidden in all the media noise receiving almost no press coverage, negotiating a settlement between the Congo and Rwanda hopefully ending their decades long conflict.
Throw in NATO agreeing to beef up their militaries and spend 5% of their GDPs on defense. All while praising President Trump to the skies for correctly pushing them to do it.
And domestically, Supreme Court decisions against local district court judges issuing nationwide "universal" injunctions and for parents ability to opt their children out of LGBTQ lessons in public schools, as well as Trump's Big Beautiful Bill making its slow way through Congress.
All in all, not bad. Not bad at all!

Supreme Court also said illegal aliens can be deported to willing third-party countries. So Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was sent to El Salvador (his home country), returned, charged with human trafficking, and ordered released pending trial (he's asked to stay in jail), will be picked up by ICE and deported again as soon as he's released.
Trump is also expecting more Arab countries to join the Abraham Accords, but hasn't happened yet. So plenty of wins still to come.
