British police abusing the right to take cash from people? (street beat style) - C C - May 8, 2025

VIDEO EXCERPTS: Policing in Britain continues to be absolutely ridiculous. Mostly because police officers don't even know their own laws.

In this video, we're going to show you a clip, and it's very important to see. Because the police continue to arrest people in the United Kingdom for carrying cash.

Yes, because they've been told, out of context, that a few years ago we put a law in place that the police can seize cash. In case you're doing money laundering or drugs. Without knowing the details of the actual legislation.

[...] This police officer I'm going to show you in the video is saying: "Ah, you don't know the law. I know the law."

I actually feel sorry for the police, because they have to keep up to date with all these stupid laws that politicians come up with every 10 minutes, and they're all confused. Nobody knows exactly what they're doing.

[...] If you're carrying a large amount of cash money, and you're unable to account for how you got it, it will be seized...

[...] Very quickly... Section 294 of PCA allows seizure of cash only if the officer has reasonable ground for suspecting it either was stolen or for use in. Crime courts have determined that possession alone is not a reasonable grounds...

That's a 20 year old car and the WPC isn't checking the car .. she knows he's carrying a large amount of money and (probably) when, where and how he got it.
I recognise the accents in the vid. - they (scousers) have a (possibly undeserved) reputation for dishonesty.
In fairness the police lady might not have been hentirely honest - but..
If the nice police lady had told our hero (the man with the money) she knew where he'd got it from - he'd simply have denied it and they'd have been no further forward.

Scouse joke
Quote:St Peter was guarding the Pearly Gates when 40 scousers turn up. Being the first time he had ever seen anyone from Liverpool arrive at Heaven's door, he wasn't sure what to do.
He left his post to go and ask God for advice. God in his Almighty wisdom instructed St Peter to go back and ask them about any virtuous deeds they had done in their lives.
A few minutes later, St. Peter returned to God, looking shocked.
"They're gone!"
"What, all of them?" replied God with surprise.
"Not just them", said St Peter, "the Pearly Gates!"
