Arguably the weakest one in the trilogy. Though a few months before filming, Goth promoted the writing as: "It’s the best script of the three by far. It’s going to be the best movie of the three."
Perhaps everything just feels tired by now. I guess you could say that Pearl finally got her daydreams fulfilled via her later generation lookalike or proxy. There's one scene where Maxine has plaster all over her head and upper body to create a face cast, and it oozes around in a way that causes her to resemble the elderly Pearl of the first film.
It will probably be on Tubi TV or Pluto TV for free, in the near future. Back in 2017 I recall an A24 film showing up on Pluto TV not long after its release.
