Airliner Crash-Lands in Toronto - Yazata - Feb 17, 2025

A CRJ-900 airliner operated by Endeavor Air for Delta Airlines, flying from Minneapolis to Toronto, tried to land at Toronto Pearson International Airport in severe crosswind. It appears that a wing hit the runway, the wing tore off and the plane ended up flipped on its back! They are lucky there was no fire and the cabin remained intact as it skidded.

Thankfully everyone aboard appears to have survived, although eight injuries are reported and three passengers (one a small child that may not have had a seat belt) are said to be critically injured. It must have been exciting, with everyone hanging upside down by their seat belts! The flight attendants deserve praise for keeping it together and evacuating the plane.

Canada's Transportation Safety Board will lead the investigation.
