So it's really bad, and people don't have any savings anymore. 5% are saying that they have no savings at all. 7% are saying that they don't know what to do if they have an emergency.

[...] Here there's an article about eating or heating. Some people apparently have to make the decision if they want to eat or if they want to heat the house.

A lot of people are now losing their jobs because the [automobile] industry is not doing well. [...] Their EV models are not selling.

So now, this electricity is missing in the electric grid...

[...] Now because Germany needs so much electricity, the price keeps rising. Sometimes it really depends if the sun is shining or not, or if there's wind or not. It's telling that most of this damage was done not by the German Greens or by the Socialists (SPD). It was done by the ostensibly (but not really) Conservative Christian Democrats (CDU).

President Trump warned them during his first term that their growing dependence of Russian natural gas was a bad idea. They (Angela Merkel's people at the time) laughed and openly sneered. Then the Ukraine war exploded...

This is the first time I've seen Trump looking like an actual POTUS. If he can get through a well-written speech without fouling up on one occasion - what's he doing the rest of the time?

I think that explains the "Oh no, here we go again" way the German delegation were responding to him - probably not even listening.
