Julia Louis-Dreyfus gets hired by a British production. Director Daina O. Pusić herself is actually Croatian, but relocated to London.

Probably addresses more than just: "What if the grim reaper was a macaw (parrot)?"

Looks fantastic. Heartfelt while blending in provocative elements of magical realism. Just the kind of film I look for. Tks!

Saw it last night. Had to buy it for 19.95 to see it, but what the hell. I really enjoyed it. A surreal spin on the theme of acceptance of death and of letting go and the consequences of not doing so.

Hated it. Glad I didn't pay $19.95.

Ah, darn. Now it might be a coin flip whether to watch it when it comes around.

Read somewhere that Dreyfus swallowed Arinzé Kene and got to do the Dead Like Me thing for awhile. But just putting creatures out of their injured misery, rather than collecting souls?

Yeah, I can forget about persuading someone else to watch it with me if there's no hard-core ghoulish angle to sell them. Wink
