Knock at the Cabin (survival horror/psychological film) - C C - Jul 28, 2024 Released last year, but never saw it till now. The novel it's based on was published in 2018. Basically seems to address the Modern Family (TV show) question of: "What would happen if Michell and Cameron and their adopted daughter Lilly vacationed in a remote, isolated woodland?" Aside from that novelty, it's what I presume is a typical M. Night Shyamalan film. Give it a few points for having no graphically gory scenes, despite its multiple ____ (the camera usually moves away just before). That's in an era where detailed and realistic closeups of exploding heads and flying guts are a standard for thriller films and television programming. https://youtu.be/0wiBHEACNHs |
