WWII Foo fighters according to Skeptoid - Kornee - Feb 21, 2024

A very predictable analysis by Brian Dunning that arrived in the inbox: https://skeptoid.com/episodes/4924
As usual, he and the likes of James R & Co, makes a 'balanced' 'it's all mundane' argument that totally avoids first hand witness accounts refusing to fit that generic mold.
Such as that given by Eyewitness Lt. Col. Jacques Drabier (F.A.F.):

(Note the familiar pattern even then of strong-arming to silence/denial by higher ups.)
Or British Lancaster bomber crew earlier in 1942:

And of course the more well known US army-air-force encounter reports easily found online.

It's the typical skeptic's confirmation bias of eliminating any witnessed details about them in order to make the account fit with their preconceived explanation. For instance, St. Elmo's fire only radiates from metal extentions of the planes. The FF otoh were seen rising up from below the planes and performing aerial maneuvers in the air beside them thus totally debunking that explanation.
