The Centennial Light - Yazata - Dec 10, 2023 Meet the Centennial Light, the world's longest burning light bulb. It was switched on in 1901 and it's still going today in 2023, 122 years later! It was originally a 30 watt bulb (or 60 watt, nobody is sure) and today is about 4 watts worth, like a nightlight. It's in Livermore California and is cared for by the Centennial Light Bulb Committee, a partnership of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, Livermore Heritage Guild, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, and Sandia National Laboratories. Time actually stops or all the humans on Earth turn into skunk cabbage and a couple of ET maintenance guys show up to change the bulb.
