Unusual Tesla Features - Yazata - Jul 3, 2023

Ellie (from Ellie-in-Space youtube channel) just purchased a Tesla and wants other Tesla owners to tell her about the Easter-egg features hidden in the car. She already discovered one, she found the she can verbally command the car to open its charging port by saying, "Hey Tesla, open your butt-hole!" (This feature sounds like pure-Elon.)

For some reason a few of the features remind me of the car in the film Monolith.

Looks like "dog mode" along with #18 would be good for people who forget their baby or toddler is in the car during a hot summer day, when they intend to just make a dash into a store but then run into an old acquaintance and gab into thoughtless oblivion.

1. Autopilot

2. Caraoke

3. Bioweapon defense mode

4. Touchscreen

5. Streaming and video gaming

7. Easter eggs

8.  Smart auto raising air suspension system that changes based on the GPS coordinates of your vehicle

9. Sentry mode

10. Superchargers

Tesla's original model was the roadster. Elon had an early one but shot it into space where it remains, eternally orbiting the Sun. (I actually saw one parked down the street from my house a few months ago. I expect they are worth big bucks now.)

Well, Tesla is bringing back a roadster model. And Elon is teasing it... "there will never be another car like this..."

When the guy who brought you self-driving cars, brain-computer interfaces, robots and giant interplanetary spaceships talks up "the most mind-blowing product demo of all time" people's curiosity perks up.

Elon says,,,

0-60mph < 1 sec

And that is the least interesting part

That works out to 2.7 Gs! Real push-you-back-in-your-seat stuff.

Automotive engineers point out that even with dragster style slicks, the theoretical limit is 1.5-1.6 sec 0-60 time. Except....

Rumor is that what they plan to do is add a small rocket engine. Hence acceleration won't be a product of engine torque through the tires, but pure thrust out the back.

If that's what they plan to do, it's hard to see how it could be street-legal. I'd be worried that it would get air under it, fly up off the road and become an uncontrollable missile.

We all know the old gripe: If this is the future (2024!!!) where is my flying car??? Well...

Seems the Teslas lack a 'passenger count' feature..

Could happen to anyone.
