Adult Human Female (UK unrest revolving around the film) - C C - Apr 27, 2023

If you reduce "woman" to a cultural construct and personal identity orientation where anybody can conveniently join the club, then the whole history of feminist activism is rendered superfluous. It's part of the gradual extinction of acknowledging "woman" as a distinct physical entity, replacing such with a mere conceptual label that's inclusively receptive to a random man slapping it on his forehead if he asserts publicly that he feels like that.

So these so-called "radical feminists" are actually those who still have their heads screwed on right, with respect to the original cause/aim of feminism, overcoming oppression of women throughout history (sans the Marxist roots and veiled motives). In contrast, "mainstream" feminists have essentially surrendered or sold-out, so they can remain members of overall Woke crusaderism (maintain the appearance of political sainthood and capitalize on the benefits that come with that). Similar to progressives in general, who are not true lefties but opportunistic capitalists who hijack and seize control of developing leftist narratives.

THE FILM: Is it really harmless when men identify into the female sex? "Adult Human Female" is directed by independent film-makers Deirdre O'Neill and Mike Wayne. They say: "The film is a 92-minute explainer about the issues, how far things have already changed for the worse for women and how difficult it has been to be heard, to be listened to. We hope it makes an intervention into the struggle and contributes to understanding, provokes discussion and eventually transforms the situation we find ourselves in."

Edinburgh University accused of 'mismanagement' over cancelled feminist film

EXCERPTS: The Provost of the University of Edinburgh has been urged to get to grips with trans campaigners who were able to stop the screening of a controversial film on campus as attendees accuse the institution of "mismanagement".

Rows of trans activists blocked the entrance to the building where Adult Human Female was due to be screened and they were barricaded in by security staff. The film explored the impact of self-ID on the lives of women from the perspective of prisons, lesbians and academics but extreme trans activists have equated the gathering to the KKK and accused the content of being transphobic.

[...] The University said it was committed to upholding freedom of expression and academic freedom, and facilitating an environment where staff and students could discuss challenging topics, however since the second attempt at hosting a viewing failed, their reputation has been attacked.

[...] Journalist Susan Dalgety waded into the conversation, adding: "Edinburgh University - where the first cohort of female students matriculated - is now a place where masked men and ‘boy p****y’ are allowed to intimidate women, with academic staff cheerleading the bullies."

SNP ministers were told about Edinburgh demo before Sturgeon claimed ignorance

INTRO: Nicola Sturgeon's claim to the press that she did not know about a prominent protest in Edinburgh against a feminist film is under the spotlight due to new documentation published. The First Minister was quizzed by LBC about her reaction to the news that a group of women were blocked from watching a movie called "Adult Human Female".

Those who protested against it claimed that the film was "transphobic" but when quizzed on what made it this way, they could not answer this. It started a debate about free speech in Scotland and was another heated chapter in the wide-ranging gender reform debate as it took place just a week before the final vote on the legislation.

When asked about this at a press call, Ms Sturgeon told LBC that she was not aware of the protest which happened at Edinburgh University on December 14. But documentation seen by the Scottish Daily Express has revealed that the majority of her cabinet were told about the demonstration four days before her interview on December 19.

Media briefings are sent daily to senior ministers within the Scottish Government which rounds up most of the prominent stories of the day, or items they may be forced to comment on... (MORE - details)
