Accoustic guitarist thread.. - confused2 - Apr 3, 2023

I'm not sure what (if any) superlatives I have left for these threads (successor to one man band thread). I'll go with 'blissed out' - this will never be played better no matter how long humanity lasts .. possibly differently but never better.

Her cover of "Wonderwall" is unlike any other one I've heard, too, in that it retains those strummed color-chords that are at the heart of the song, while still managing to weave the melody and its bass line in between that. (Actually, I'm not sure if I've encountered any guitar instrumental of "Wonderwall" but hers. Maybe that's why it still stands out to me.)

Somehow I was unaware of Jinsan Kim until recently. This YouTube interview in a Martin Guitar shop setting doesn't help to clarify anything about him, for obvious reasons Wink: https://youtu.be/fJWERWEV6fY

This, OTOH, indicates he's also a member of a K-pop band called "poco a poco", yet somehow he finds the time to do his independent guitar thing, too (last name goes first in South Korea): https://kpopping.com/profiles/idol/Kim-Jinsan

At any rate, he's 17 or 18 and has already composed a bunch of his own original guitar instrumentals; and they seem pretty sophisticated. So look out, Sungha Jung -- competition on the peninsula from another Zoomer!
