With pro points of (relatively) small footprint and reuse/repurposing of existing fossil fuel power plants. It certainly has a novel aspect - intense microwave boring to depths considerably deeper than conventional drills have managed. In practice expect a raft of bad news 'glitches' that may or may not prove fatal.
