How meditation can help you make less mistakes - Leigha - Feb 28, 2022 https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/11/191111124637.htm Definitely makes sense considering that meditation/prayer/mindfulness brings us to a calmer state of mind. RE: How meditation can help you make less mistakes - Magical Realist - Mar 3, 2022 I practice mindful breathing to calm my anxieties. Seems to work pretty well. Just breath in slowly until your lungs are full, and then exhale thru your nose slowly until they are empty. The body takes this as a cue you are slowing down, so your BP and heart rate slow down in response. Lying down helps too. Not going to sleep, but just relaxing your whole body consciously. RE: How meditation can help you make less mistakes - Leigha - Mar 5, 2022 I’m so glad you’ve found something to calm your anxieties, MR. I have a tendency to worry and mindfulness combined with prayer has been very helpful to me. It’s interesting how becoming just mindful of our breathing can have an effect on our well being. We are often rushing through life, going from one thing to the next that our breathing becomes shallow. Exercise helps with this too ...yoga and strength training can “force” our minds to center because I’ve found it nearly impossible to concentrate on holding a difficult pose in yoga and stay stressed. ~ lol Lighting candles and creating a comfortable space at home for meditation also helps your mind separate from the hurried pace of the day. |
