EXCERPTS: KFC will bring plant-based chicken to restaurants nationwide starting next week [as an option], the latest in meat alternative products changing the face of the fast food industry. The fried chicken chain worked with Beyond Meat to create a chicken breast alternative designed to mimic the consistency of ground chicken.
“This is really about where the customer is going; they want to eat more plant-based proteins,” Kevin Hochman, US president of KFC, told CNBC. “It’s January, so it’s a time of New Year’s resolutions and wanting to do something different in your diet.”

No thanks. I like being number one predator. If we weren’t then we’d certainly be on a few menus. But I realize it’s probably generational and mine doesn’t belong. Are they GMO’d plants? Will chicken meat supplements be available? What do we do with the chickens if we’re not going to eat them? Fertilizer farms….nothing like chickenshit. Did they have to change the secret ingredients? Kentucky Fried Plants doesn’t quite have the same appealing ring to it.

Much but I doubt whether you’ll find a Kentucky Fried Live Bird. They should start using your rebrand to encourage herbi-voracious consumers to stop in to see what it’s all about. Curiosity plus it’s catchy.
Not ashamed at all to munch on a dead bird, just cook it right. I don’t hunt wild game. I do fish for sport. I prefer the modern method of letting someone else do the deed at the farm/abattoir where hunting has been made easy. Growing up in my pride I wasn’t trained by my parents in the art of applying the death blow to the prey. I’d be as lost as an orphan cub in that situation.
