I'm a Californian and had no idea that Moose lick cars. It's news to me.
Aren't Moose a Canadian thing? Though I've heard that they infest Alaska.
But the narrator of that little video sounds plausible.
Maybe it might help to create some artificial salt-licks away from roads. Moose might like them because they can get all the salt they want without having to interact with those annoying humans.
Though I've seen videos of moose in Alaska that are totally unafraid of humans and congregate in towns where they can raid garbage cans and lick salt to their hearts content.
