Evidence of a Sasquatch shelter, and then a distant sighting on a ridge.

Hmm, that ''figure'' in the distance appears too small from this angle, to really decipher what it is. My question with Big Foot sightings is...why haven't there been any discoveries of a dead one? That would be viable proof, well at least there would be something to examine up close. These ''sightings'' are always a bit hazy, and out of focus.

Some theorize that Bigfoot bury their dead like humans do. Others point to rapid decay and consumption by scavengers in a forest setting. Don't know really. But people keep seeing them.
Unfortunately the video won't play in Canada. Is it the one where they apparently video the beast while it's sleeping, with lots of other grainy footage?

If it is then you have to marvel how an animal which either sneaks up on unsuspecting humans or runs away upon encountering them manages to let people get within touching distance without so much as batting an eyelash. For something so cautious and skittish it sleeps real good, not bothered by anything.

Do Sasquatch ever dabble in cannibalism with respect to deceased bodies? They can't favor living primates, or they would have long since come after us. (Or maybe they do on rare occasions: "Did that deadbeat drunk of a husband finally take off and leave you, Annabelle?")

Vaguely recall something in the past claiming they were vegetarians.

EDIT: Omnivorous, apparently.

"The creatures usually settle on raw meat like deer or fruits and berries, but definitely have a craving for a good home cooked meal. "They love cooked food," he said, adding that researchers have success attracting the creatures when cooking out in the wild. 'It puts the smell in the air.' Bacon is big with Bigfoots, as well as chicken wings. "

No it's not that one. But I can post that one if I find it. People can reach their own conclusions about it.

Suppose so. Do you find it odd that a wild animal can be both skittish and courageous....talking about how humans report sightings. Unless they can put tools/weapons together like us you'd think evolution would have picked one trait over the other. I don't see the finches in my backyard hopping over to the resident hawk.

Yes, that's my biggest doubt as well.

I don't have anything against cryptozoology. In fact I'm inclined to think that many/most animal species remain undescribed by science. These are mostly insects, worms and other small things. Probably many organisms in the deep oceans, perhaps larger ones down there. If we include microorganisms, the as-yet cryptobiological component probably includes a large proportion of the biodiversity on this planet.

But having said that, I'm a bit skeptical about cryptozoological hominids. Especially if they are supposed to be living in reasonably populated places and not the remote empty reaches of Canada or Siberia. One would expect to find physical evidence of their presence, something more tangible than folklore.
