The future of personal transportation? Only if they bring the price down. A flying car costs around $1.2 million. While a cool concept, if you ''break down,'' that means literally falling out of the sky, and these ''cars'' are probably difficult to drive in bad weather. "At the moment, the Lilium Jets can travel up to 185 miles (nearly 300 kilometers) on a one-hour charge."

Would an electric-powered flying vehicle be safer than a combustion-powered one, or require less frequent inspection and maintenance for the motors?
