He's a class act. Can't help but think he sees the writing on the wall, that space exploration isn't going to be a priority to Biden and his administration.  Undecided

"There is a political agreement that America needs to do big things in space exploration, that we need to lead the world,” Bridenstine said. “There have been lessons learned from the past and I think Congress is in a good position to make sure that we have sustainable programs going forward.

Yep, those supposed pro-science Democrats being hypocrites.
Sounds like a disgruntled partisan hack to me.

“For that, what you need is somebody who has a close relationship with the president of the United States. You need somebody who is trusted by the administration…. including the OMB [Office of Management and Budget], the National Space Council and the National Security Council, and I think that I would not be the right person for that in a new administration,” Bridenstine said.

Incumbent Donald Trump, who tapped former Oklahoma Republican U.S. Rep. Bridenstine to become NASA administrator in 2018, is challenging the election outcome, though that would require several states’ current vote tallies to be changed."
Why would he be disgruntled? Because Biden is looking to be our next President?

Because he's a Trump appointed republican that's likely out of a job anyway after Biden gets in office.

NASA Earth Science missions will at least get a boost from Biden because of the climate points scored for the administration. (Those were cut under Trump.) Expectation is that most everything else could remain stagnant (with potential delays appended) or take a funding nose-dive.

True, I'm not getting disgruntled from that article. Maybe just planning ahead instead of waiting to be ''fired?'' It's not unusual for administrations to clean house, even in the private sector. If we're honest though, it would probably be tough to report to Biden as a Trump supporting Republican.

That's true. I was reading that prior to Covid, Trump and his team were laying out the agenda for a possible next term, and climate change was completely left out. He simply doesn't see it as a ''crisis.''
