INTRO: A teenage Afghan girl has shot dead two Taliban fighters and wounded several more after they dragged her parents from their home and killed them for supporting the government.  The incident happened last week when insurgents stormed the home of Qamar Gul, a teenager from a village in the central province of Ghor. Gul has since become an online sensation after a photograph of her holding a machine-gun in her lap went viral across social media. (MORE)

BBC: [...She...] has been hailed ... for her "heroism" ... The girl [...used...] the family's AK-47 assault rifle ... The Taliban came to the house because the girl's father was a government supporter ... Officials said the girl, believed to be aged between 14 and 16, and her younger brother had been taken to a safer place.

That's why people need the right to defend themselves. When people come to do you harm, superior force is all that will save you. Too bad her father didn't get to the gun earlier. But maybe the Taliban just underestimated the children. Good reason to teach children to shoot. Even in the US, children have stopped home invaders with AR-15s and the like.
Possibly, from now on, the Taliban will shoot the kids too....just to be on the safe side.

Wow, you sound as if "that'd show them gun owners". I seriously hope you're not rooting for kids to be killed.
And if that girl didn't kill them, what do you think would have happened to her and her little brother? As apostates, they'd likely be slaves, with her forced into a marriage or sex slavery as young as 14, and him possibly just killed.
