Full Version: Ride a Shuttle Up and its Solid Rocket Boosters Back Down

Here's some video shot from several video cameras, mostly on a Space Shuttle's solid rocket boosters, but also on the big external fuel tank. There are also microphones capturing the sound.

The occasion for this was people were wondering what reentry would sound like in one of Elon's Starships. It's larely speaking just a hollow steel tube after all. The consensus seems to be pretty noisy and maybe more than a little scary.

But apart from that, this video is pretty cool just in its own right.

If a topnotch space-fiction movie ever has an unearthly segment akin to that interstellar trip at the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey, they need to use some of that as the soundtrack. Don't waste money on rights to avant-garde music.
