Nope. No "measures" at all. None of the solar mandates were intended to provide backup power.
But keep trying to conflate them; it's fun to watch.
The solar mandate was obviously just one part virtue signalling and one part "help us bolster our crappy infrastructure". No conflation. There's a very clear line between forcing people to reduce their draw on your power grid (while refusing to use nuclear power) and not really giving a crap about stemming wildfires (until too late) or helping people cope with the eventualities of an poorly maintained power grid.
There’s going to be more shut offs this week but my whole house generator is up and running. I’m good to go.

OK, so no "half assed measures" in terms of resilience, either. Thanks.

Hey, if you call virtue signalling and propping up bad infrastructure not half-assed, that's your business.

California is having another heat wave. It's nothing extraordinary, we have them every year.
But the creaky old electric power grid (designed for 20 million people, forced to serve 40 million) is feeling the strain from all the air conditioners and blackouts are being threatened (again). This time it isn't the fire threat so much as insuffcient supply of electricity. So to avoid the whole grid crashing, they need to shed electricity demand. Hence the possibility of rolling blackouts which have become a familiar feature of summers around here.

They're shutting power off in various areas of Oregon to get thru the next 2 days of high winds. Luckily I am spared the torment of sitting in my dark silent apt with nothing to do. Without power, we are just one step away from becoming wild animals.
