"I don't think anyone realizes how quickly artificial intelligence is advancing. Particularly if involved in recursive self-improvement ... and its utility function is something that's detrimental to humanity, then it will have a very bad effect," Musk, speaking at Vanity Fair's New Establishment Summit in San Francisco, said....
He'd hate to find out that the universe is simulated and all "Living things" are artificial intelligence constructs, it would beg the question as to why would an "A.I." wipe itself out?
It isn't a new idea. It's been part of science fiction lore for a generation. We see it in the Terminator and Matrix movies.

I don't think that it's entirely fanciful. One advantage that electronics has over us is its speed and unwavering dedication to its task.

If AIs were to turn against us, they wouldn't need to be all that intelligent. They wouldn't need to be artists, scientists or philosophers. They could be something more like insects.

Their unwavering 'mechanical' determination, both in manufacturing more of themselves and then in locating and killing fleshly life would make them very dangerous. The better they are able to detect and then adapt to our desperate countermeasures, the more dangerous they would be. It's possible to imagine them driving us to extinction.

Having said that, killer AI isn't really one of the things that keeps me up at night.

By the time AI evolves to a pont whare it woud be able to destroy humans ther wont be many "humans" left... an even those will be more machine than flesh an bone.!!!

In Concluson:::
As AI becomes a reality to most people... it wont be any more dangerous/scary than Ebola is now.!!!
